Since coming to the Queensland bar in July 2019, Robert has maintained a broad civil and commercial practice which encompasses a focus on building, insurance and consumer disputes. He is also a sessional academic at QUT in the School of Law, an editorial contributor to the Journal of East Asia and International Law and an active member of the Building Disputes Practitioners Society in Queensland.

Prior to coming to the bar, Robert had experience working in a leading Australian law firm, in South Korea’s national commercial arbitration institution, and in an editorial capacity for a large legal publisher. He is dedicated to serving his clients through uncompromising technical excellence, responsiveness and understanding toward his clients’ concerns and developing strategies to resolve disputes early in a way that delivers value.

He has been involved in and provided advice in litigation on major public infrastructure projects and acted for a wide array of clients, including ASX-listed corporations and not-for-profit entities. He has extensive experience appearing in courts and tribunals at the state and federal level and does so in the additional state jurisdictions of New South Wales and Victoria.

Robert is proficient in Italian and Spanish and business conversant in Korean. He is comfortable and experienced in respectfully serving clients of diverse cultural backgrounds.
